The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers can be ideal for those who are looking to remove mopping from their list of things to do. Some models have superior navigation and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other options and makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh which can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and poop easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger objects like broken toys and books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install and performs well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum solely to mop it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the house, identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and methodically. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures.  Best robot vacuum uk  can also be washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth or more randomized pattern. You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rug.

The device has a expensive price, but has a variety of innovative features. It is important to remember, however, that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every three month.

The robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. These include an energy button that serves as a general "Clean button as well as a Home button that sends it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning session. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who just wants an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. Its powerful performance, smart navigation and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module which includes a microfiber pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated, but they do mean that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan map that it uses to create a route when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which help to protect certain areas of your home from being swept with a mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up pet hair. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. The noise levels were low, and there were some pleasant jingles to signal that it was beginning and getting its work done.

Its main drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the requirement to change out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app isn't able to store multiple maps, which can be a problem when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it comes with some distinct features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base comes with several control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off a child lock that is a great feature for parents who are worried about children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it is entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. This was a rare occurrence however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market that is dominated by bulky boxy models.
